The Daily Sentence

The psychoses of fear—that is to be left hanging over the darkest void; to experience fully blossomed despair; to know that too much time has passed; to lose all confidence, all hope; to be paralyzed; to become acquainted with one's mortality; to experience loss; to know change; to know the abhorrent nature of the world; to be lost to cynicism; to see terror reflected in the eye of an animal meeting its death; to see one's self in an old man; to see one's self in a new born; to accept futility as the only absolute; to pile horror upon horror, to accelerate the acceleration of this process; to break out in a cold sweat; to sit up in bed to listen to one's heart race; to be unable to avoid the impending future, the past, the present. -Aaron DeWeese
